At the heart of Sirocco lies an extraordinary collaboration with Heritage Malta, integrating historic maps from the Heritage Malta collection into striking graphic prints. These cartographic elements serve as a visual representation of journeys taken, borders crossed, and identities formed.
These archival resources were provided by The Malta Study Center at the Hill Museum and Manuscript Library, MUŻA. These elements contribute an authentic historical depth, seamlessly blending the past with contemporary design, an homage to Malta’s unique role as a cultural crossroads.
A luxurious mix of fabrics and textures further enriches the collection’s storytelling. Woven tapestry, velvet, mikado, chiffon, silk, sequin, hand-beaded velvet, and organza create a tactile experience that mirrors the layering of cultures, traditions, and artistry. Draped silhouettes, structured outerwear, and intricate embroidery reflect the collection’s Arabic influences while staying true to Charles & Ron’s signature aesthetic of effortless sophistication.
